Creating and using blocks

WHAT IS A BLOCK?

It is a design element, which can be associated text (attributes).A block is a library item. It can be saved in the drawing template, or as a file.

HOW TO CREATE A BLOCK?
Step 1
We must start by drawing the element to be library.

For example, the symbol to indicate the direction in building design, or symbol to indicate roughness in industrial design

Step 2
Pressing the button to create a block against it opens the window.
Step 3
A block is identified by name.
This name is used when inserting the block.
For example, orientation symbol.
Step 4
You must then select the objects constituting the block: lines, polylines, texts, other blocks.
Step 5
The basic point is the point of insertion.
It is this point which allows positioning the block when inserted into a drawing

the options
• Keep: objects that were
used to make the block are kept as design elements.
• converting block: objects that were used to make the block are also processed in block
• Delete: the objects that were used to perform the block are removed from the drawing, only the block is stored

Associate text to a block
The text associated with a block may be constant, or defined by the user.
They are called the block attributes.
